In response to all anti-Asian hate crimes around the globe sparked indirectly by the pandemic,
We, The Filipino Helping Society in Norway - FHS united in one voice - would like to utter:
That the sufferings caused by the pandemic have led some people to finding someone to blame, someone to take out their anger on.
Hurt people hurt people.
these acts have eased - nothing.
And for these people, be reminded:
you will never have our hate.
Hate is least helpful in terms of ending the pandemic. It can, however ruin more lives than any natural disasters.
Hatred is far worse than Covid or any pathogens.
FHS is here to contribute in building peaceful and inclusive world for everybody.
- A world where everyone is safe and secure, without having a fear to go outside. Without worrying about being attacked by someone on the street. Without thinking of getting bullied because of skin color, language differences, gender, religion and political views we have.
This is not a stand towards making a difference.
This is about standing for what is right.
There is enough space for each one of us.
We all have the right to live, to love and
our lives too, deserve dignity and respect.
The Filipino Helping Society in Norway is standing in solidarity with all Asian communities in the World, and to the few despisers:
